There is an abundance of literature that speaks to the outcomes related to excellent and poor staffing. However, there is a dearth of specific education on the operational aspects of staffing to help nurses, nurse managers, and executives achieve excellent staffing. Additionally, many nurses continue to note that staffing is inadequate despite charge nurses spending up to 75% of their time on staffing related issues during each shift. Research shows that ensuring adequate staffing levels has been shown to: reduce medical and medication errors, mortality, nurse fatigue, nurse burnout while improving nurse retention, job satisfaction, and patient satisfaction.

Simplifying Staffing and Scheduling series will help you increase your knowledge in staffing and scheduling to enable safe, efficient and innovative approaches to these issues. Take control of your career and your future during this program that combines online education with webinars. Learn valuable information from national staffing and scheduling experts on the basics of staffing and scheduling, budgeting, understanding the impact other disciplines play on the nursing model and much more.

Focused CE Series combines live webinars with independent web-based study, creating a “virtual classroom” environment. Tackling complex initiatives, we break them into key topics, and bring nationally known experts right into the attendee’s home, office or facility. Learners go through a multiple week engagement with the same small group of peers, so they can share practices and questions together in an interactive “two-way” webinar experience from wherever they live or work. Between webinars, learners complete independent online study modules to reinforce and apply their new learning and prepare for the next session.
